I was born in the serene coastal city of Chennai, formerly called Madras. I completed my secondary schooling at the D.A.V. Public School, before transferring to Kendriya Vidyalaya to earn my Senior Secondary School certificate. I earned my Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from S.R.M. University in 2012, and graduated with a cumulative GPA of 9.48 out of 10, translating to around 1.3 in the German academic grading system.
Immediately after my Bachelor’s, I started my career in Sundram Fasteners Limited as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. I trained in the Tool Room for one year before being promoted to Assistant Manager in Marketing. I was coordinating with two OEMs, servicing their requirements for prototype parts from the factory. I worked on improving the warehousing systems, making them more efficient and compliant with OEM requirements.
In 2014, I started my Master’s coursework at the Univesity of Stuttgart. I enrolled myself in the Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures course and graduated in the year 2016 with a cumulative GPA of 1.8. After a well-deserved 2-month break, I started my PhD at the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering under my advisor Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Christian Moormann in 2017, and completed it in 2022.
